softAP Sleep ?

Hello, is there any solution for ESP8266 or ESP32 sleep in the softAP mode during communication ? I need to communicate with only one client at same time (for example with a smartphone) and send measurement data from softAP to a client. The client should see a network SSID of the ESP softAP in his l...

Re: MAC addresses

Thank you,

the MAC addresses stay unchanged after flashing new firmware (I have Not yet tested) ? I use ESPFlashDownloadTool_v3.4.8 and NON OS SDK v2.1.0.

MAC addresses

Hello, are the MAC adresses for Station and softAP different for each ESP-12E device ? If I produce for example 10 000 devices with the ESP-12E, should I make some collection of MAC adresses for my production and give to each of the device unique MAC adresses (AT+CIPSTAMAC, AT+CIPAPMAC) ? I need to ...

Receive Buffer Clear TimeOut

Hi, I commonly read a presumed response of an AT command (e.g. "AT+CIPMUX=1\r\nOK\r\n"). In some cases, there stay some old characters in the receive buffe, so I read e.g. "ERROR\r\nAT+CIPMUX=1\r\nOK\r\n"). Is it possible to flush the receive buffer before the next AT command sen...

Store User Config Data to Flash

Hello guys, I would like to use the Flash memory of the ESP12-E to store user (not static) config data. The data would be changed maximum once a day from the user application. It should be something like: AT+FLASH=<data> for set command AT+FLASH? for response 255 bytes of the data length is enough f...

Re: Quick Data Send Commands

Hi, I have tested some options. When I'm connected to an online server like "esp8266test1.000webhostapp.com", the packets are sent with more delay than when I'm connected to a local IP adress like "192.168.0.106". Moreover, with local IP the client is not automatically disconnect...

Maximum UART Baud Rate

Hello, I'm using host MCU with baud rate fine adjust for communication with the ESP8266 ESP-12 module. However, I can't reach any higher baud rate then 350 877 baud (with 1,6 % error). Any higher frequency will cause possible correctly data transmittion (Tx), but missing symbols in receiving data (R...

Quick Data Send Commands

Hi, What are the best commands and optimized timmings for quick TCP data send ? I use "AT+CIPSTART" and "AT+CIPSEND" commands in a loop. After the data are sent, the "SEND OK" and "CLOSED" messages are returned. The communication is closed automatically withou...

Re: CIPSENDBUF Buffer Size

I can reserve up to 6 kB of data RAM on my host MCU for the buffers. Because the data transmittion via UART takes a quite long time, it would be better to have the EPS in a sleep mode during this proccess. Is it possible to send data into the ESP8266 during a sleep mode and start the Wi-Fi modem aft...

SDK to IDE instalation

Hello, I'm new in Wi-Fi wireless communication and ESP8266 chip. I would like to use a 32-bit MCU Kinetis with MCUXpresso IDE for communication with ESP 12-E. How to install the SDK to IDE and use all the SDK functions ? I have read the SDK getting started guide, I have also update the firmware, but...
