We are testing MESH with ESP.
We have tested 2 scenarios.
1. All ESP nodes within WiFi routers range.
This condition esp forms mesh & works fine.
2. Spread out ESP nodes, so that few nodes can not see WiFi router, but can see esp nodes (which is connected to mesh).
In this condition the nodes which are out of the WiFi router's range does not join mesh. But if you move them in the WiFi router's range then then get connected to mesh. In the same condition if you take them away from WiFi router it remain connected. But if you reset that node or hop node, then again it does not connect. If again node is moved in WiFi router's range then it connects back.
Our requirement for mesh is that some of the nodes will be out of WiFi router's range. What is the solution for this?
