We intend to use the module in an environment with no user interface. We need to configure WIFI station mode SSID parameters and password to connect to a local WIFI network. One way is to use the smartconfig mode and this works, but not all customers have an android or IOS phone. You want to be able to configure this from any platform using a standard webbrowser.
I want to set the module in AP mode, then make a wifi connection, login to a website preferable running on the module, configure the local WIFI network SSID and password, reboot the module and then let the wifi module connect to the local WIFI network. Other WIFI modules have similar procedures for connecting to a local network. Is there such a procedure in the AT firmware or will it become available?
If not has anyone dealt with this problem? Would it be possible to configure the module in softAP mode and define a server socket on port 80 on the module, let another client connect with a webbrowser and serve a webpage for the client (station mode) network settings. Store the settings on the microcontroller connected to the WIFI module and then switch to station mode with the stored settings.Statistics: Posted by Arend — Tue Jan 12, 2016 8:40 pm
