Like I said, modifying this breaks ciupdate functionality. I cant do that that way, but having this command is feature a lot of people would use.

and you can refer to the AT sample in our user_main.c

I think that allowing to set custom hostname for ESP8266 could be implemented by official AT commands.
This is very useful feature and in combination with AT+CIUPDATE (official) it will work very well and all people would have that feature.

Something like AT+SETHOSTNAME="my_esp_hostname"<CRLF>

Let me know your thinkings about this request.
