I wanted first to see with the AT commands how it behaves and how easy it could be to interface it wit hour MCU (if possible with no specific development on the ESP itself).
I thus soldered wires to the module in order 1) to power it (3V3+GND) dialog with it (TX and RX to a FTDI RS232R cable) and set boot mode (EN, IO15, IO2 and IOO) and I expected to be able to take hand on it with a terminal connected at 115200 8,N,1.
Unfortunately, the module does not answer anything to any command (AT, AT+GMR, ...)
Then I intended to reflash the firmware... just in case.
I used the documentation found in the EPS8266 quick start guide, but unsuccessful.
I can get the MAC address in the Sync windows, but then systematically get an error message and the console says: get flash ID error.

What is wrong?
Which step did I miss?
I start to be completely confused...
Any advice help or comment welcome
Thanks
JYL
