I just found some minor differences with the actual situation (e.g. I found all the needed files in the AT folder with no need to look for some of them separately) so I think I did everything correctly. The outcome was even weirder than the starting situation: I earned some AT commands and lost others! For example now I can AT+RESTORE successfully, and when I try to ping something i get a "timeout" line before ERROR (so that I think that the command was executed). But now I get ERROR when I try to AT+CWJAP or AT+CWJAP_CUR and also AT+CWLAP!!
I'm not sure I'll be allowed to spend much more time to spend on this, but in case you can guess what went wrong please tell me!
Thank you again!

I have little to no experience with this world, yet I think my issue is really weird: certain AT commands give ERROR as the only output. Not random, and not sometimes: those commands do always give error. I am attaching a screenshot with a summary of what works fine and what doesn't: for example the recommended "AT+CWJAP_CUR" cannot be processed, while the deprecated "AT+CWJAP" seems to work. But the "AT+PING" does not. This happens all the time, irrespective of the order of the instructions. The most baffling is the failure of the "AT+RESTORE" command!! On the AT manual I don't even find any clue that this input could output an error!

Can anyone help me figuring out what is happening? Thank you!
