*Notice, some changes such as all the pull-up-down resistors are switching to use 12K instead of 100K, GPIO9 and GPIO10 and not wired between ATmega and ESP8266, flash IO0/IO1/SCLK are not connect through resistor(first version we did so, but it also have the same problem)

Test envoriment:

USB2UART tried CH340/PL2303/CP2102/FT232

ATmeg48P's program to trun on all the power and other pin remain floating input mode.

This is just a prototype for a ESP8266 based watch, so no sell for now

Please send the complete schematic (pdf) of your board, not just wifi part.

Please also send us photo of the test environment that you build.

Do you have the purchase link of this board? or can you send a sample to us? We need to test with this board and see what's wrong.

Fail at all the bandrate, try external 3V3 power resource, no help ]

2.The flash on the teset board is winbond W25Q32, also tried the GD25Q32 and the flash used on a usable esp12 module.

3.Connection type is QIO, but tried both DIO and QIO for more than 10 times no help

Hi,

The schematic is ok.

Please help confirm current problem is for ESP8266 and ESP8285 is ok.

When you use ESP8285, have you moved the external spi flash and choose spi mode as DIO?

Could you please double check the part Number of the flash on this test board? W25Q32?

（Now shifting to use the ESP8285, and works weired...

1. I always using the same pull-up & pull-down resistor pairs, the previous board works fine.
2. You can check out the logs from the download tools, it stop at requesting flash vendor, so something wrong happened at communication process
3. The wiring of flash just turns fine, and even much better than provious one for using 4L instead of 2L
4. Tried every potenial methods to make this staff work, but is didn;t.

BTW,I start using the ESP8266 for more than 2 years ago, No more starting guide is needed : )

Hi,

When you want to download firmware into spi flash using flash download tool, please make sure that GPIO15 is low, GPIO0 is low and GPIO2 is high. And you get below print through UART.

ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(1,6)

After download, GPIO0 should be switched to high and ESP8266EX will enter flash boot mode.

ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,6)

After switching the crystal(using crystal and cap from ESP12 module), use external power source... Nothing looks work
And it no loger able to connect to Flash Tool
