The flash ID is a 24 bit number.

First 8-bits are representing the manufacturer -> https://github.com/jhcloos/flashrom/blo ... ashchips.h
The second 8-bits gives the type.
And the third 8-bits gives the capacity -> 2^capacity Mbits

The SDK 1.4 documentation provides a description of an API called "spi_flash_get_id" but does not describe what it returns. I believe that there is "bit encoding" of information but do not know what it should be. This report requests documentation of the meaning of the return values in the SDK documentation.
