Great work! Thank you for share with us.

I tested your code and sniffer capability worked very well. But in injection tests, I had no success unfortunately. When I check the value of parameter returned by the "wifi_send_pkt_freedom" function, it is always negative (-1), so, failed to send. I'm using SDK 1.4.0.

Could you help me?

Okay, after contacting Espressif they emailed me the sources for sniffer example which works with SDK 1.3.0.

ESP8266 sniffer sample

Hello,

I'm trying to compile a simple packet sniffer. I took it here: https://github.com/davruet/esp8266-sniffer. I've compiled it with SDK 1.3.0 succesfully (using esp-open-sdk). However, after flashing it just hops from one channel to the next one, and does not display any captured packets.

I have Wi-Fi router installed in the same room, so there should be some output. I switched the router to b/g mode without encryption, but got no result.

Do you have any ideas why the code does not work? Do you have a working sample code for sniffer?

Any help would be appreciated.
