I've been working with WROOM-02 for a while. I can't find a wiring that works for all chips in a stable way.
By working, I mean that I can send and execute AT commands.
By stable, I mean that the system does not reset or go into an unresponsive state.
Here's what I do:
SETUP1:
on one chip, this works ( it writes "Ready" and I can execute AT commands):

when I try to do this:
SETUP2:

it doesn't, even though when I chech, IO0 and IO2 are in UP state..
on another chip, SETUP2 worked, but the the chip started to flush gibberish and didn't work in any configuration.
What am I doing wrong? Am I ruining the chips? Do I need to add resistors anywhere?
