Please notice to initialize the struct station_config.

If your problem is still unsolved, please provide your test code and the settings of your router, we will have a try.

Our esp8266 modules fails to connect with our WiFi router and goes in to scandone/reconnnect loop. We are lookinng for your help to troubleshoot the problem.

Setup Details:
SDK Version: 1.4.0
esp8266 module: ESP-12E from AI Thinker
Wi-Fi Router: DSL-2730U (D-Link)

Router Settings:
Encryption: WAP2 Mixed
Channel Number: Auto

Sometime serial logs shows that it is connected and dhpp client started but it again goes in to reconnect/scandone loop.

I added some prints in IP checking function and what seems to be surprising is that wifi_station_get_connect_status() api returns value 2 (WRONG PASSWORD) during scandone and reconnect loop but it eventually connected and IP is allocated after so many attempts with the same password which is reported as wrong password with wifi_station_get_connect_status() api. Can someone please explain why wifi_station_get_connect_status() returned value as WRONG PASSWORD when it eventually connect with the same password after so many attempts. There seems to be something wrong with wifi_station_get_connect_status() api because same API is not expected to return WRONG_PASSWORD and GOT_IP without any change in SSID or password
