And as a result the ESP8266 devices will be banned by the devops/it-departments.

is it possible to add API for changing the RF output power (and sensitivity)? We would really need this for verification of our modules in/for different countries (so we can set the lower transmit power instead of changing the PCB antenna - in case of exceeding transmit power in certain direction).
