With tens or even hundrets of IoT devices in a wifi-area it would be very important to reduce the transmit-power.
If all devices send with max. allowed power the wifi-channels will extremely interfere. And as a result the ESP8266 devices will be banned by the devops/it-departments.

Hello,

is it possible to add API for changing the RF output power (and sensitivity)? We would really need this for verification of our modules in/for different countries (so we can set the lower transmit power instead of changing the PCB antenna - in case of exceeding transmit power in certain direction).
