no error, but the device will not respond in a terminal (ignoring AT commands). Can someone offer some insights for me? Thanks.
esp_init_data_default.bin : 0x7c000
blank.bin : 0x7e000
boot_v1.5.bin : 0x00000
user1.1024.new.2.bin : 0x01000 (512k)
SPI Speed : 40MHz
SPI Mode : QIO
SPI Flash Size : 4Mbit (also tried 8Mbit, either way the flash does not error)
Note:
The tool will NOT detect anything in the info window when it loads, or when the device is plugged in. However, it does show the MAC address and some generic details in the info window AFTER I click Start. As mentioned, flash completes with no errors. I've tried other 1.x versions to no avail as well, and I have even tried going back and loading v.0.9.2 to no avail!!!
Further Info:
Not a wiring issue: I can flash other firmware such as nodemcu without any issue and ping it from a terminal, so I know for sure that my FTDI hardware and wiring is all set up and working properly.
Not a bricked device: I have tried using the espressif tool as well as other tools and cannot get the ESP-01 back in working order, even with v0.9.2. But as mentioned above, I can get a response with nodemcu. I'm stuck with nodemcu or nothing, and that makes no sense at all.
I feel like I must be missing SOMETHING about this espressif tool and process.Statistics: Posted by dapug — Mon Mar 28, 2016 5:42 pm
