Yes you're right. In the course from 1.4 to 2.0 several SDK version lowered the load on the IRAM use consistently and with 2.0 the IRAM use has incremented again, considerately.

It looks like some code was placed in IROM (flash) which didn't seem to be such a good idea after all (even though I had no problems myself). I'd be glad if we could have back the IRAM footprint like it was before 2.0.

I have a project build with SDK 1.5.4.1 - free IRAM ~4800kb.
After migrating to SDK 2.0.0 I have only ~300 bytes of IRAM.
Question: where is my IRAM? Who eats it? Please return it back to me!

I guess, if this will continue, I will not be able to update to next SDK version ( sarcasm ).
