I have not worked with Arduino before so I am not very familiar with the programming techniques involved.
But I think you are missing the HTTP header. If you want to display a webpage where ESP8266 acts as a web server, then you need to send the HTTP header as well before sending the web page data.
Example header would be like:
https://www.tutorialspoint.com/http/http_header_fields.htm
