Hi,

Great example and I2S driver,

I would like to connect MEMS I2S microphone,

it require I2S read task, so i made few code changes --> that still doesn't work

PIN_FUNC_SELECT(PERIPHS_IO_MUX_MTDI_U, FUNC_I2SI_DATA);
PIN_FUNC_SELECT(PERIPHS_IO_MUX_MTMS_U, FUNC_I2SI_WS);
PIN_FUNC_SELECT(PERIPHS_IO_MUX_MTCK_U, FUNC_I2SI_BCK);
...
SET_PERI_REG_MASK(I2SCONF,I2S_I2S_RX_START);

Can you please help to enable getting I2S driver to read from Microphone?

I2S is not working? Chip to slow? 2chan ~50 khz 24bit need permanent 300.000 bytes/s.

Hi,

No progress until Espressif releases an API or library for I2S. If the chip has an I2S port hardcoded inside (like Texas CC3200) we need first some basic information to access it, registers, DMA, etc... for doing something with it. By now, I only know that they referenced the I2S pins on some documents but not a single line of code about I2S in the source code or docs that I saw.

Very interesting, that I2S is possible.
In ESP8266_Pin_List_141105.xlsx I found the pins:
