Mesh Support

Hi, Is there any chance/possibility to have mesh properly integrated into the Non OS SDK in one of the future release? Currently the updated working mesh is maintained here, https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_MESH_DEMO/. Which doesn't work with SDKs above 1.5.3. It would be quite nice and useful. ...

I second that. It will be very nice and useful if mesh is properly integrated into the main SDK in one of the future release!

Mersh server port and mesh root node

Hi, The scenario: 1. Mesh nodes configured with mesh server IP and port. Everything works as expected. 2. The IP of the mesh root node of the mesh network is known and if a socket is attempted to be opened with mesh root node IP and the port that was defined to be the mesh server port then the mesh ...

Cheers.

Re: Root node conflict

Seems like I figured out what was causing the behaviour reported. I was calling, wifi_station_set_config_current() before enabling mesh and that was causing the unusual behaviour.

Cheers.

Re: Root node conflict

What I really need is a way to properly trigger a new root node selection among available nodes of a mesh network.

How can this be achieved? Is there an API for this?

Cheers.

Re: Root node conflict

Hi, I still can reproduce the situation where a mesh network has more than one root node and it is not resolved even after an hour. But when this situation has occurred then resetting one of the modules fixes the problem and the node comes as a child node. Some notes about my configuration. 1. Group...

Re: Problem with latest commits

Hi, Here are a few more details and findings. For my project I use the latest ESP non-OS open SDK 2.0.0. But the mesh library that comes with this SDK is outdated and I use the mesh lib from the ESP mesh demo Git repo as mentioned in my previous post. To use the latest mesh library it is not enough ...
