Re: Flash fails on ESP8266-01 based on SDK2.0

Hello Pratik, In this post i have attached two files with the boot messages of SDK2.0 and SDK1.3 flashes. These flashes are done with the ESP download tool in the same environment on a ESP8266-01 monitored with 74880 Baud. I hope, you are able to see any reason, why the chips run wrong if flashe wit...

Flash fails on ESP8266-01 based on SDK2.0

Hello, I have problems to flash a bunch of ESP8266-01 if my firmware is based on SDK2.0. With the support of other users ( see thread : http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=15832&sid=1481bf7cad6e6b1fb5f4d7667d9c9a45) we found out, that a flash with SDK1.3 or 1.5 firmware work properly...

Re: Strong fluctuations of WiFi power

Hello Pratik,

Many thanks for your hints!

Strange things happened: After changing the WiFi channel from 7 to 11, the RF level is always high and not more dependend of a client
connection.

Best regards

Strong fluctuations of WiFi power

Hello, If I start my AP and no client is connected, the sendet WiFi power has massive fluctuations (blue line). In case a client has connected (shortly after 15:24:00) the power is and stays on a constant high level. Is this a normal behavior in order to save energy or did I make a poor setup? I wou...

Re: How to run AP + TCP-server?

Hello Pratik, Many thanks for your helpful support! My test program is now running. What I did: Start an AP with a given IP address, eg. 10.10.10.1 Start of a TCP-server with a given port, eg. 3333, which fetched the a.m. IP address. My TCP-client gets from AP the address 10.10.10.2 and is able to c...

Re: How to run AP + TCP-server?

Hello Pratik, Many thanks for your quick reply. I have started the AP and am able to ping his IP address successfully. But I don´t understand your recommendation regarding port 80, because my client is able to address any port. What should happen after the AP has started, should I start a TCP-server...

How to run AP + TCP-server?

Hello, I am developing an outdoor remote control system, with a dedicated WLAN from an ESP8266 AP. A tablet with a TCP-client should connect to it in order to set some GPIOs on the ESP. According to my understanding, a TCP-server on the ESP should take the commands from the tablet client for further...
