Re: ESP interrupt latency

Thanks for your info! Can you tell me which interrupt you checked? SPI? Other peripheral? 1-1.2uS is still quite a looong time for interrupt latency... that's some 80+ instructions... but, OK, this is still reasonable. 80 instructions for INT handler, mask check, clear.. So... acceptable. I'll try t...

ESP interrupt latency

Any information about the latency of peripheral (HSPI) interrupts related to the ETS_SPI_INTR_ATTACH(); API function?

Or what is the interrupt latency in general for the ESP?

ESP/Xtensa interrupt latency

Does anyone know what is the interrupt latency of the ESP MCU? Is there a way to attach/change the interrupt vector for the peripherals (HSPI in this case) directly and not using the ETS_SPI_INTR_ATTACH(isr_handler, void *)? I have some time critical ISR processing and I'm getting around 5uS "p...

(H)SPI configuration options

A few questions about some SPI configuration bits which are not described. #define SPI_SLAVE(i) (REG_SPI_BASE(i) + 0x30) #define SPI_SYNC_RESET (BIT(31)) what does this SPI_SYNC_RESET do? what are the consequences on the SPI setup or functioning? I saw this bit is set in the SPI samples in SPI Slave...

wifi on/off and power settings

Is there a way to completely disable/shutdown the wifi system once it's started? Any way of setting/limiting TX power? Any way of disabling the "autoconfig" "feature" of the wifi? (once connected the settings are saved to flash, on reboot it will automatically try to reconnect - ...

Re: New FEATURES gathering

DMA engine with few channels, triggers linked to wifi/uart/spi/i2s... peripherals (to be able to configure a simple "data pump" from wifi to spi or i2s etc)

Re: New FEATURES gathering

How about Uart and SPI port, what kind of interrupt event do you want ?? It would be very nice to have some sort of "threshold" for generating the SPI (or other UART...) interrupts. Interrupts are now triggered only on completion of some action - for example int on end transfer. What I me...

Re: HSPI PORT OVERLAP MODE DEMO

First of all thanks for the fast response! I'm aware of the stuff you just wrote. I was wondering if you know what will happen when a large/long read/write is done simultaneously on both SPI and HSPI? For example, I want to send 100K of data over the HSPI port (in overlap mode, using interrupts on t...

Re: HSPI PORT OVERLAP MODE DEMO

Hi there! Experimenting with overlapping SPI funcionality... giving the sensitivity/difficulties in debugging such setup (because of the running code accessing the primary SPI flash) I would ask for some clarifications. So, the ESP has two SPI units, so called SPI (primary, where the flash is usuall...

Re: Multiple SPI flash chips on primary SPI - possible?

Yes it is, SPI is bus system - you can connect over cs or device adress Yes... I know that.. but my question or concern was more about "will the sdk library and running code/chip handle that transparently"... If I just put another device on the primary spi bus and use a gpio for CS this w...
