that is just a copy of the iot example, lol. no it won't help the original poster because it is not an AT command extension
have you actually tried using the ssl api?

I can tell you with absolute certainty, the ssl api does not work.

Re: SSL connection via AT commands

I am writing AT command to support SSL, but it seems none of the espconn_secure_* api works. At least when I connect to real ssl servers using real cerfificates. (and yes, I have set buffer size to 8196 and use the patched ssl library) esp module will reset (I think due to wdt timeout). I already re...

Re: SSL compile error

if you are using client api only, all you need is to define the variables in your user_main.c unsigned char *default_certificate; unsigned int default_certificate_len = 0; unsigned char *default_private_key; unsigned int default_private_key_len = 0; if you are using server, you can generate your own...

Re: ESP8266 2Mb problem

I understood your original post. what I was getting at is, if you selected 2048kb in step 5, how come the output is user1.1024.new.bin instead of user1.2048.new.bin? and granted it generated bin for 2MB flash, what would you then end up selecting, and I quote you said "In flash size I put 8Mbit...

Re: ESP8266 2Mb problem

if you select 2mb in step 5, why would you select 8mbit instead of 16mbit in flash uploader? it does not make sense.
it should be 16mbit, and blank.bin should go to address FE000 and 1FE000.

you can try to get support from olimiex.

how much internal buffer does esp8266 have?

I know cipsend limit says 2048 bytes, but I am curious if internally, esp8266 provides separate buffers for tx and rx for each of the 5 sockets, hence a total of 20k buffer internally? The wiz w5100 chip has 16k buffer internally that provides separate 2k for tx and rx for each of 4 sockets. is esp8...

Re: AT added some functions so flash size need to be 1024KB

you can still use modules with 512k flash, you just cannot update via cloud. just set flash downloader to boot_v1.3+.bin 0x00000 user1.1024.new.bin 0x01000 blank.bin 0x7e000 only the above 3 lines are checked and do not set one for 0xfe000 I kept my flash setting to 4mbit. this is the firmware versi...

Re: No more than 2-3 packets/sec from the ESP8266?

tve, change your test from just sending hello to something larger, like about 64 bytes long. as you said, it is not about server not sending ack, but I think the esp is using nagle algorithm (which I think should be disabled). on my original test, I was sending like 2 bytes at a time, and when I cha...

what would cause esp module to not return SEND OK

When I load test the esp module running as a server, at some point in time a few minutes later, the program will hang due to esp module not returning a SEND OK after sending the exact number of bytes, after sending AT+CIPSEND command. When this happens, I am not able to send any further commands due...
