Does anyone have an HTTPS server running?

I mean, in a usable state, i.e. one can access html pages that load images, css, js and so on? I have no problems at all with a HTTP server (based on the esp-link project), but HTTPS is a real pain. As long as I make one access at a time, there seems to be no problem. But accessing twice with too sh...

Re: Controlling of connected station to softAP

Actually, in libmain there seems to be a wifi_softap_deauth function... but since it is not in any .h file, I am not sure how to use it.
Maybe Espressif could elaborate on this.

Also add

-Wl,-gc-sections

to the LDFLAGS.

Re: Changing the currently running user binary

After writing the flash using the spi_flash_erase_sector and spi_flash_write APIs, I do system_upgrade_flag_set(UPGRADE_FLAG_FINISH); system_upgrade_reboot(); to finalize the OTA upgrade. Question: Is there a way to boot the new image ONLY ONCE? So that its functionality can be verified BEFORE the c...

Re: Is ESP8266 SDK 2.1.0 affected by KRACK (WPA2 attack)?

Under normal circumstances I'd say your WiFi disappeared for a short time (beacon timeout). This is what I see if I reboot my router. Maybe Espressif lowered the timeout? I don't know. There are more commits since final 2.1.0: https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_NONOS_SDK/commits/master Maybe you c...

Re: Controlling of connected station to softAP

AFAIK there is no API for this. I don't know why. I once read that you needed to send a "deauth" packet and this had to be generated manually. In any case there is no easy solution. Maybe you should open a request here: https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_NONOS_SDK/issues On the other han...

Re: Controlling of connected station to softAP

Maybe just use a default password? 12345678 or the like? That does not provide real security but prevents auto connections.

Re: GPIO0 and GPIO2 flashing / gpio_init() mystery

Thanks for your answer. Nice to know that gpio_init() is not required. I guess this is one of the things that get copied from example to example to example without questioning its use. That always makes me suspicious. ;) The 40 MHz signal, does it happen before the bootloader? Then a custom boot.bin...
