Re: Power consumption problem when the AP is not avaliable

Howdy, If I read the datasheet available here: http://bbs.espressif.com/download/file.php?id=520 It seems to say (see Table 4) that the current draws you mention are normal.... I could be reading the table incorrectly .... Neil Thanks for your reply, but I think the table 4 only mentions the situat...

Power consumption problem when the AP is not avaliable

Hi! We are designing a battery powered device on the top of ESP8266, and found there is abnormal high current during some situation. Firstly set ESP8266 to station mode. The total current was 70mA . Once in a while went up to 100mA , it's OK! But in both situations below, the total current went up t...

Re: Strange problem with SDK v1.1

[2015-08-05 Updated to lib_1.2.0_with_debug_log_19] Hi, Harold L. Please update libs in the attachment base on esp_iot_sdk_v1.2.0 If the problem is still unsolved, please provide the UART output logs for debugging. I've sent my log to bugbounty@espressif.com, I'm looking forward to the good news :P

Re: Strange problem with SDK v1.1

Hi, We just solved a customer's Wi-Fi reconnect issue which was because that he missed the " station_config.bssed_set = 0;" before "wifi_station_set_config". Did you call " station_config.bssed_set = 0;" before "wifi_station_set_config" ? Please refer to http...

Re: Can WIFI be turned off?

I tried another API 'wifi_station_disconnect', but the power consumption didn't go down at all, instead, it was rising! This is the recording of the total current consumed by our board: WIFI On: 70mA . Once in a while went up to 100mA WIFI Not available(AP turned off): 130mA WIFI Off(wifi_station_di...

Re: some 8266 after long connect

Hi,Harold, Sorry for the late reply, are you using ESP-01 ? Could you try it with another module ? We are working on this issue now,but we can‘t duplicate this problem .. We will keep testing and checking our source code,I’ll let you know if there is any update. I'm using our own PCB board, there a...

Can WIFI be turned off?

I found there is a API called "system_phy_set_rfoption" on the document, and I tried it in user_rf_pre_init(), but it seems not working at all! It seems that the API is related to deep-sleep, but the GPIO16 on our PCB board was connected as other function, which means we can not use deep-s...

Re: some 8266 after long connect

I've met the same problem, and made much tests. Details are in my post: http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=541 , I've seen the same log when the problem happens. What's more, during our long time tests(2 months), I found it also happens by chance when my AP restarted (Which was schedul...

confused with the value of system_adc_read

I'm using a 3.3v VDD to power up 8266, and expect system_adc_read() returns 0~1023 mapped to 0~1v as the document says, and it works perfectly until I write esp_init_default.bin to the flash . before flash esp_init_default.bin, the content of 0x1FC000 was filled with 0xff, and all the things worked ...
