Use system_get_free_heap_size to get the size of heap that available to use.

Copy the source code from \esp_iot_sdk\examples\IoT_Demo to \esp_iot_sdk\app
Call "make" in that app directory , then "./gen_misc.sh"
You can download the user guide "ESP8266_GCC_LUBUNTU" from http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2

Yes, this is right! there is no need to call os_zalloc
and the description is wrong. :oops: . this api is used to get the info of tcp client that connected to ESP8266(which runs as a tcp server).

Yes, rom_abs_temp does not mean the die temp.
We don't have an api to get the die temp.

Sorry, base64_encode and base64_decode in ROM can not be used in our sdk.
You can porting them from other platform to esp_iot_sdk.
We will delete these apis in next version of sdk.
