Hi,
I use ESP8266 in embedded device in AP mode with DHCP server switched ON. PC with Windows 7 connects to ESP8266 and ESP8266 assigns IP, gateway and dns addresses to the PC wireless interface.
But PC gets internet connection through another interface and this assignment breaks the internet connection by routing internet requests to a wrong gateway and DNS.
One solution could be to adjust routing table metrics so that the correct route been chosen first. But the user or the application must have elevated privileges to do so.
Can I force DHCP server respond with empty gateway and dns addresses using AT commands? If not - is it planned to add this feature in some future release? I've seen similar questions on internet.
Thanks!
How to force DHCP server respond with empty gateway and DNS addresses?
