Hi,
I'm on AT 0.21.0.0 / SDK 0.9.5 and I get 2 different MAC addresses with the AT+CIPSTAMAC? and AT+CIPAPMAC? commands. My questions are:
1) Are these addresses unique in the global address space? I mean do I need to get and program my own MAC from IEEE or can I rely on the default addresses programmed in the module?
2) Can I put the same MAC address for AP and STA modes?
Thanks!

Hi,
1. ESP8266 MAC addresses (both softAP and station) are unique
2. Sorry, you can't put the same MAC address for AP and STA modes that may cause unpredictable problems.
Thanks for your interest in ESP8266 !
