[Resolved]CWJAP timeour SDK Ver 1.3

Postby ut1545 » Fri Aug 14, 2015 2:26 am

Hello,

I have a ESP-01 module with 512KB of memory. I was using the SDK v0.9.5 AT commands and everything worked satisfactory but when I have updated to V1.2.0 or V1.3.0, I can't join to an AP anymore. I have follow the instructions in SDK /bin/at/readme.txt using eagle option and it doesn't work. Here is a log:

AT+RST

I have tried a lot of things without success:
1 - Use other Access Point. I try 2, one of them a Android phone with the same result.
2 - Change SSID to a 10 and longer character string.
3 - Use a more powerful power supply (3.3V/1.5 Amps)
4 - Use OTA files (non-eagle). Same result.
5 - Change AT+RFPOWER parameter to 82.
6 - Change CWMODE to 1 and 3. No difference.
7 - Do AT+RESTORE.

Also, I have downgraded to version 0.9.5 and CWJAP command worked as expected but I need some functionality present only in V1.2.0 or V1.3.0.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry that we can't duplicate your problem.

Please try to call "AT+RESTORE" to reset first. Then try again.

Could you provide the UART1 output logs for debugging ?

Thank you for your response.

I have tried AT+RESTORE without success.

Regarding UART1, I'm using ESP-01 module and as I know, there is only one UART port available (which I'm using to send AT commands). Could you please explain what you are meaning ?

Thanks,

Hi,

Did you use the AT bin files provided by Espressif Systems (\esp_iot_sdk_v1.3.0\bin\at) ?

Download it as the attachment.

If your problem is still unsolved, please provide your bin files and the capture picture of your flash download tool while downloading.

Hello,

Sorry by the late response but I was on a business travel without access to my prototype.

Yes, I'm using the official V1.3 files.

I'm attaching the files that you are asking for.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

According to the "DETECTED INFO" in your Flash Download Tool, your Flash is 4Mbit.

So you need to select "4Mbit" FLASH SIZE on the Flash Download Tool, and download:
eagle.flash.bin 0x00000
eagle.irom0text.bin 0x40000
blank.bin 0x3e000 & 0x7e000

Can not OTA upgrade AT firmware.

Hello,

I have followed you instructions and everything seams to work as expected. I will continue to do some test but I'm confident that the problem was solved.

Thank you so much for you attention and support.
