In some of the latest specs I see that the supported frequency range for the crystal is 26MHz to 52MHz.
In other documents (and older documents) I see that it is 24MHz or 26MHz or 40MHz.
Does that now mean that 24MHz is still supported?
Also, does it matter which frequency one uses between 26Mhz and 52MHz?
What about frequencies between 24MHz and 26MHz?
Is there a disadvantage when using 24MHz?

Dear BuGless,
ESP8266EX do support 24MHz crystal.
24MHz, 26MHz and 40MHz refer to to the version of firmware that ESP8266EX support.
There is a register for crystalFreq option and there are mainly 3 options, which is 24MHz, 26MHz and 40MHz.
Thanks.
