HI,I have a MCU connect to ESP8266 whit the UART interface,I only use ESP8266 to search surrounding WLANS signal.
Can I remove the Flash Component? And the ESP8266 can work.

Dear Sir,
ESP8266EX has no flash in chip, firmware has to be stored in external flash at present.
Thus,the external flash cannot be removed.
Flash Requirements:
1. SPI flash
2. Support Quad( Recommended ) or dual SPI
3. 4Mbit and above
