Do you think ESP8266 is compatible with this Micron 16 mbit flash chip?

It is the smallest SPI flash I could find, with a 2x2.8mm package. The data sheet lists dual and quad read and I/O, but I don’t know how standard that is or whether there are sometimes quirks like that bug with Winbond W25X.

Dear Sir,
1.We can support W25X(Dual SPI) flash. You can refer to the following topic for details.
http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25
2.With regard to N25Q016A,we haven't tested this flash before, but ESP8266 should be able to support.
As for voltage range of power supply of N25Q016A is from 1.7~2.0 V, you should connect IO power supply(VDDPST Pin11/Pin17) of ESP8266 to 1.8V. And then voltages of all IO interfaces of ESP8266 will be 1.8V.
Please be noted that chip_en(Pin7) of ESP8266 should be better connected to VDD33.
Any more questions, please feel free to let us know.
Thanks.
