ESP8266EX Can write but cant read

Postby maxgmepe » Fri Aug 31, 2018 7:40 am

I am not sure if where the proper place to is to post this so please redirect me if you know. Thank you!

I have been working on creating my own module based off the hardware schematics of the ESP8266EX. I am flashing it using the Arduino IDE. I am able to write to the flash memory but am unable to read from it. I get the following error.

ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,7)

load 0x4010f000, len 1384, room 16
tail 8
chksum 0xb9
csum 0xb9
csum err

I know I am able to write to the memory because after doing so, I remote the flash memory from my DIY module and solder it onto the ESP-01 module and find that it is running my code. I am not sure why my current module is unable to read from the memory. I have been working on this for over a week and have no other ideas on what to try. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I dont know where to look on my profile. I know where to find threads I posted, but I would like to see old comments of mine, so in case I put a comment in a thread so I can keep that thread for future reference and such.
