GPIO state in deep sleep mode

Is the GPIO state preserved in deep sleep mode? The goal is to use one of the GPIO (5, 4 2 or 0) to switch on a voltage regulator by driving the GPIO line at high level.

I don't think so. Won't it stop the execution of code putting controller in a low power state?
