Can't detect the sender MAC in sniffing/ promiscuous mode

Is seems so strange that the new updated SDK 1.1 does not allow to detect the sender MAC in sniffing mode.
Maybe this will not be the case in promiscuous mode.
Espressif_Faye say sniffer demo can't do that in several threads.
It look as big bug in SDK 1.1 if it can't do that after it was public as one of the ESP8266EX capabilities.

…Without the sender MAC, all sniffer / logger application is useless. The main idea of sniffer is to recognize “who is around” and what it send,index by MAC of course.

It can be nice to find colleges to share research. And post in this BBS findings.
