Will esp8266 SDK support channel state information (CSI) in the future?

As titled. Because besides RSSI, CSI is useful when locating a node in a sensing network.

It would definitely be interesting to get the radio tap header information (including rss) for some security applications.

+1 - I am also interested in this feature for either esp8266 / esp32. What is the current status?

Hi, This is Hemamali, founder of a Start-up named TrakRay Innovations Pvt.Ltd(based out of Bangalore,India) that developing UWB based precise indoor location tracking technology for Asset Tracking markets. we are targeting a different market space and as part of that actively looking for a low cost/power WiFi solution that can support WiFi Receiver Time stamp(via channel state information). as part of that we came across your chipset but not sure it has the support, can you kindly clarify me on this regard? it's a urgent requirement from our customers. we are planning to integrate your ESP8266 for a TDoA based localisation product.
