I'm going to apply the ESP8266 to a microcontroller disign, Smart power management.
I'm hard to get any example code of the MCU side to communicate with the ESP8266.

Welcome, sorry for the late response I had a calculus exam to prep for so I've been MIa for a few weeks. But yes I can assist. I am not 100% sure how to interpreate your post, Are you saying you have a MCU like an Atmel/PIC chip or are you saying the MCU side as in how to have the ESP8266 execute code to communicate to other deivces aside from using it's 802.11 such as UART and I2C/SPI.
I can assit either way.
