slow down new connections under load

slow down new connections under load

Hi,

i opened a 10 port TCP Server. Memory is ok, i think.
Server gets now 7 connections quering data at same time.

What will happen if processing, answering and transmitting by callbacks is not fast enough?

Will ESP only receive if idle?
Will Ram go down till error, because ESP will buffer data?

What is the best strategy to slow down receive to give more time to process the older connections?
