Hello,
I tried searching but I couldn't find any relevant results.
Having the ESP8266 configured in AP + ST mode, it basically belongs to two different networks.
My question is: how does it know in which network it should send the data? Is it based on the IP ranges? What if both networks have the same IP range (192.168.4.x)?
Thanks

Hi,
Maybe this two topics can help:
192.168.4.X connection problem in softAP + station mode
ESP8266 softAP + station channel configuration
How does it know in which network it should send the data? Is it based on the IP ranges?
-> Yes. It is based on the IP range.
What if both networks have the same IP range (192.168.4.x)?
-> It can not work, the connection will go wrong.
