IR Remote control registers and their descriptions??

Hello.

In document 0A-ESP8266EX__Datasheet__EN_V4.7_20160225.pdf, chapter 4.8, talks briefly about the IR Remote Control and names the pins used for this purpose.
Also, in document 0B-ESP8266__Hardware_User_Guide__EN_v0.7.pdf, chapter 8, talks again about the IR Remote.

The problem is that I couldn't find information about the h/w anywhere.
The example in the FreeRTOS does not use dedicated IR hardware but makes use of the PWM, which, of course is fine, but I would like to work with the already implemented registers.

Do you know where can I find the information/register description for the IR Remote controller?
