Clarifying the limitations when wifi_promiscuous_enable is true

Hello.

The ESP8266 NONOS SDK document mentions "Don’t call any other APIs during sniffer҅ please call wifi_promiscuous_enable(0) first.". Does this mean only disable promiscuous mode call can be made? For example, are GPIO, or I2C, or H/SPI, etc related can be called?
