I am interested in having a good example on freeRTOS. Using the RTOS_TLS_DEMO http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1564is working fine to connect to iot.espressif.com server with the SDK libssl.a library.
BUT using the same example but with libssl.a obtained from third_party/ssl is not working anymore with of errors on handshake part (Selfsigned certificate).
Looks like the SDK libssl.a was heavy modified (even the size of SDK's and third_party's are very different).
Something is not normal in here ! Something is fishy and the code doesn't lie.
Anyone ?

You may try using sites that diagnose or evaluate SSL to find out what exactly is going wrong.
For example, howsmyssl.com
Also, it is highly recommended that you migrate to the latest mbedTLS port for the ESP8266 (available for download on the Espressif website).
