Send ICMP_Request (Pings) with the SDK

my name is marcel and i've got a question regarding the SDK.

Is it possible to send ICMP-Requests ("Ping") from the module to a device connected to the wifi?
Background: I would like to build an interactive lamp, which is on when a device responses to the ping.
