Great news! :o

If we could only get updated PDF documentation with these new functions, that would be excellent :-)

Does the AT firmware need any updates for SDK 0.9.3?

I tried the latest 0.9.2 AT firmware from http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13 with both SDK 0.9.2 and SDK 0.9.3, compiled myself, and loaded flash.bin at 0x0 and irom0text.bin at 0x40000.

With 0.9.2, it works correctly. I sometimes have a loop where it resets 5 or 6 times, but then ends up working correctly.

With 0.9.3, the AT+CWJAP call results in:

Code: Select all

+CWJAP:3

FAIL

@guan - try to first flash blank.bin before uploading new firmware, because structure of station config are different.

@reaper7 I did rewrite the blank.bin and the esp_init_data sections. Right now I’m adding debug statements to try to find the problem. It’s somewhere in the connection itself, after wifi_station_connect() is called, inside at_japChack (which is invoked from a timer). The connection status is STATION_CONNECT_FAIL (3).

Update: It works now, so it must have been something temporary, possibly unrelated to 0.9.3.

Update 2: When it fails, it works after a few resets, usually 2 or 3. I’m pretty sure this is a change compared to 0.9.2.
