Connect with host name?

Anyone have any luck connecting to the esp8266 with a host name rather than a IP address? I tried calling wifi_station_set_hostname and espconn_mdns_set_hostname but I can only communicate with the assigned IP, my host name will not resolve in the browser. Any ideas?

The hostname is set via DHCP, so it depends on how well your DHCP server talks to your DNS server... Also, if you already have DHCP running you have to stop it, call set_hostname, then restart it.

Are you using Windows? The feature does not work under Windows for me either. Under Linux and Android I can access the module via hostname just fine.
