AT+CIPSTARTSSL Command
AT+CIPSTARTSSL Command
Postby Turconi » Wed Dec 24, 2014 2:06 am
Hi everybody:
I have work over the version at_v0.20 and I added this command to get access to smtp with ssl .. like gmail security...
you must use like the AT+CIPSTART but only accept the ip address directly (smtp of gmail = 64.233.186.108 ), not the name of smtp like smtp.gmail.com ....
the port you have to use is as you want... (smtp gmail port = 465)....
With this you have a security connection with ssl ....
I attached this binary ...if someone need the source please say it..
thanks for all effort ..
Asimov

Hello Asimov,
As I am not an experienced user or programmer of ESP8266, I would like to ask you some questions to check if I did everything well, because so far I could not connect to the Gmail SSL server.
- When I download your firmware to the module, at the same time I should also download the files esp_init_data_default.bin at address 0xfc000, blank.bin at 0xfe000 and user1.1024.new.2.bin at 0x1000 or that is not necessary. ?
- If so, could they be of any version or need to be of a particular version?
- Could you post some examples of an AT commands sequence for a successful SSL connection?
Thank you for your post and I would appreciate your help on this,
Jose.
