Does system_rtc_mem_write() do anything other than simply write the provided data to the RTC memory? If not, I would assume that it is OK to simply write to the RTC (user) memory directly via the base address 0x60001200 (observing the 32-bit size/alignment requirements).
I ask this because I have seen references to a message involving RTC MEM CHECK FAIL which suggests that there is some sort of checksum or validation procedure being performed when data is written to RTC memory.
