would ask here, which software the most people here take for making apk.
i am personaly a fan of Basic4Android, the new version has inline coding in pure java. [1]
can you post your favority android stuff too?
think the most people works in eclipse and java, right?
would be nice for share infos, perhaps then more will write here in this theme?

Hi rudi,

I developed my app in Eclipse (native Android app). It is open source and the source code can be found here: https://github.com/elektronika-ba/ctrl-android-test1 (APK is here: http://www.ctrl.ba/CtrlTest1.apk)
It is a universal app template that can be extended for your purposes. I paused development and will continue to work on it again in next few days, so new features are to be expected Also documentation needs to be written

ESP8266 requires firmware that can be found here: https://github.com/elektronika-ba/ctrl-esp8266-v0.9.2
There is also firmware for SDK 0.9.4 but I will soon update to the latest SDK version.

Option 1:
It uses a cloud (server) to connect to ESP8266 devices. I published a cloud server to www.ctrl.ba if you want to test it out! SSL certificates are self-signed so you will see warnings in your browser when you first access the admin panel.

Option 2:
You can deploy a cloud server on PC in your local network if you don't want to use Internet to control your ESP8266.
