I hope the community will forgive me for resurrecting the old thread.
Your setup is correct but maybe you are trying to flash a very old firmware (1.5.1), I flashed 2.1.0.
I used an old flash tool and it worked! On the contrary I had problems with newer flash tools.
Maybe it can help someone.

I'd like to program the AT firmware on an ESP8285 (custom board).
I've found my way through programming but I got an error at startup.
See attached pictures of programming screen and error.

Could you explain to me what I'm doing wrong ?
Bonus question : is there a way to start with 115200 baudrate instead of 74880 ?
