I have been trying to get an ESP mesh network up and running on ESP8266 as defined in the mesh user guide. From what I can see, it was in version 2.4.0 (i.e. mesh.a and mesh.h are included) but when it gets to 2.4.2 the header file exists but nothing else. In version 3.0 I can't see anything to do with mesh.

@espressif please can you give us a definitive statement on whether it is supported or not on esp8266 or are you only supporting it on esp32 from now on?
