Hi, I use esptouch v2 apk to config network. I input mqqt data in the Custom Data frame of esptouch v2 apk and press confirm key. At the same time, power on the ESP8266 board, ESP8266 start to smartconfig.
In the sdk, the function of smartconfig_done is the callback of smartconfig. The function of smartconfig_done include SC_STATUS_FIND_CHANNEL, SC_STATUS_GETTING_SSID_PSWD, SC_STATUS_LINK, and SC_STATUS_LINK_OVER. My quesion is how I can get the Custom Data of esptouch v2 apk by function of SDK？

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to connect my esp8266 devices to my AP via the espressif APP (for Android). But the APP works properly only if the AP has an internet connection. Could someone tell me why? Internet connection is mandatory?
If the AP does not have an internet connection, is not possible to type the SSID, but it's possible to type only the password.

Which OS are you running on the PC? And you should try a different Download Tool version. It seems like an issue on the PC side rather than hardware side.

Hi,

I am using ESP8266 Download Tool V3.6.22 to download "ESP_FCC_V2.0_26M_20160401.bin on ESP-12F (EMC/RF performance).
It connects and show the detected informations until this point is ok, then I fill download path config and set 0x000 address.
Then I press the Start and immediately the panel 1 shows "STOP".
The error is reported in prompt log:

"UnicodeEncodeError: 'gbk' codec can't encode character u' \xe7' in position 26: ilegal multibyte sequence"

Please, could anybody help me?

如果想从Android往ESP8266发送数据，那在Android与ESP8266建立一个TCP就可以了。Device ID？你可以用mac 和device key。

APK编译不需要加key。建议您先用我们官方的APK试一下，排除是否是设备端的问题

如果要连接云端，需要把相关的key加入APK编译码？利如owner key

我用的是ESP8266_NONOS_SDK，手机APK用的是1.2版本编译出来的，连接云端成功，但是点击进去会出现获取状态失败的提示。
不加入云端手机是可以正常控制亮灭，单独在云端也可以通过云端开关ESP8266的灯，唯独是在APP出现不了按键的页面，提示获取状态失败。

SDK代码如下，设置为PLUG_DEVICE

可能一开始我们理解有偏差。
你说的这种情况：设备连接到云端，手机与设备连接到同一个路由器，手机也能在local控制设备，这种方式我们也是支持的，此时即使路由器没有连接网络，手机也可以通过UDP将控制信息发给设备，实现本地控制。
手机APP上会显示当前手机是通过本地还是远端服务器来控制设备的。

针对您的问题，设备一开始还是要通过云端来激活的，激活完了以后可以选择云端控制或者本地控制

local方式和云端方式，在APP里是不能同时使用的？local方式只能在8266处于STA+AP的模式下才能工作？而在8266处于STA模式下，和手机APP连接同一个AP是不能local方式来控制8266的？这样理解对吗？

您好，我想确认下，如果ESP-WROOM-02和手机连入同一个AP，手机APP在AP不连接internet网络的情况下，可以获取ESP-WROOM-02的设备状态和其下连接的传感器数据吗？还是一定要通过云端才能访问到该设备及设备下传感器的数据？

BUG：当使用 APK 登录后，发现本地设备，然后长按使其链接云端，失败后，再也无法找到设备，本地设备也找不到。

1. 使用环境：
1）IOT APP ：V 1.1.6
2）SDK version: SDK ver: 1.5.3(aec24ac9) compiled @ Apr 18 2016 13:20:18
3）iot demo ，但是自己添加了 smartconfig 功能

2.操作：
1）烧写的错误的 master_device_key（故意使其这样，为了测试）
2）上电 ESP8266，
3）打开手机 IOT APP，使用QQ登录
4）添加设备，不勾选"是设备连接至云端"，然后"确定"
5） "正在寻找设备" ---> “发现1个设备” ---> ““已连上云端的设备列表(0):” “ 已连上Wi-Fi的设备列表(1):ESP_0C1AEF”
6）长按本地设备，出现“使设备连接至云端”，点击它
7）“激活中...” 1-2分钟后，首先是APP中的“设备”消失了，然后手机APP弹出“设备连接云端失败”
8）再一次向下滑动刷新时，设备已经不出来了，本地设备也不出来了
9）当我退出后，重新登录后，再一次刷新，本地设备就又重新出来了

你好，这个烧录过的，bin是在网页注册的时候下载下来的，烧录的时候设置的地址是0xFE000，而且在网页上的设备管理里面可以看到设备的状态是已经激活了。
随便问一下，这个是我的串口打印的信息：

我选择的是5，可是为什么Map的时候会是512Kb+512kb？

您好！
我使用的是ESP-WROOM-02的芯片，然后烧录了ESP8266_RTOS_SDK_V1.4.0使用的是ESP8266_IOT_PLATFORM这个DEMO，参照文档修改了里面的参数，下载了IOT Espressif APP（android）。smartconfig 是OK的，然后激活成功了，当手机和芯片在同一个路由器下面，显示的是本地设备，使用light的控制，可以在串口上面看到打印的效果，说明本地控制是OK的。但是当手机和芯片不在同一个路由器的时候，app上面显示设备的状态是云端设备，但是使用light控制的时候，app提示“与设备的连接断开了”，而设备其实一直是在线的，请问这个是什么原因？谢谢！

请问除了smartconfig之外，我想让ESP8266变成AP模式，再用手机APP与ESP8266对连后
由手机输入家中的路由器的SSID与Password给ESP8266
然后让ESP8266转为station模式与家中路由联机吗?

有没有参考的android源码呢?
或是有REST API可调用?

you can, for example, requires the user to hit a button to be able to initiate smartconfig.
thus only people with physical access to your device may configure the wifi.

this doesn't prevent if there are dozens of people all tring to configure the same esp, tho.
just like wps, if there are multiple APs accepting negotiation, you don't know which one you'll end up connected with.

Follow my instructions:
-> First,copy all the games you downloaded into the sd card
->second goto the android market and search for "app installer" and install
->launch the app
->it will show you the apps on the sd card or find them
->Allow external app installation
->install the app.
OR
->Install file manger on your phone(astro)
->find the app using astro on the sd card
->install the app.

Hi, Vishnu,

smart light has implemented response for HTTP request from mobile, but mesh demo just provide framework to setup mesh network,
it just print packet received, and it doesn't response the request. So you can't scan the other device but root device.

If you want to scan all the devices, you need to implement the response for HTTP request for scan devices.
And you can refer to SMART_LIGHT_WITH_MESH.

Hi i am trying to use ESP8266 mesh which is provided in github...
i have compiled (changed local server address).. and flashed to 4devices..

now when i am scanning devices ... i am getting only

root node

(mobile is connected to router)

now when
mobile is connected root device directly
.. i am able to see all other nodes

how to get all nodes (including root nodes and subnodes) when

mobile is connected to router

Try to connect with an Android device. Once it has been connected then reset the module and try again with iPhone. It never works in the office. If iPhone is connected at any chance, then try again with android devices, the android app doesn't work randomly.

UPDATE: our router supports 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz bands. It didn't work when packs were broadcasted to 5Ghz.

Sorry that we can not duplicate your problem. We tested it on iPhone 6(iOS9), and succeed.

In your case, did it fail every time ? Or it just failed sometimes ?

Could your provide the ESP8266's UART output logs for debugging ?
