SmartConfig: takes long time in SC_STATUS_LINK state

Hi Espressif,

I am using SDK 1.4 and latest Espressif _EspTouch Android app. During smart config process the channel is found immediately as soon as I press "Confirm" on APP, however the ESP firmware takes long time (20-25 Sec) to reach SC_STATUS_LINK state. Sometimes I have to re-start both APP and ESP to make it work.


Please, I think smart config process should be optimized to be reliable and not to take that long because this may impacts end user's out of the box experience.

I am sitting next to the Wifi router so it does not seem signal problem. Would the smart-config time vary if there are lots of routers/APs around ?

Could you give me the 8266's log that take long time. you could get the log by turn on "ESPTOUCH" debug mode (smartconfig_start(cb, 1))

From the log, this process of ESPTOUCH is normal .How long does it take.

On average 20sec but sometimes it is 15 sometimes 25sec.

This seems much better in SDK 1.5
