.irom.text will not fit in region irom0_0_seg

Hi

I am trying to compile the mesh example provided by espressif using virtual box. However i am getting irom0.text will not fit in region Error.

/opt/xtensa-lx106-elf/bin/../lib/gcc/xtensa-lx106-elf/4.8.2/../../../../xtensa-lx106-elf/bin/ld: .output/eagle/debug/image/eagle.app.v6.out section `.irom0.text' will not fit in region `irom0_0_seg'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status


How do I resolve this ?

What is the size of your Flash ?

And which option did you choose when compiling ?

1. Use a larger Flash.

flash size is 512Kb. I am not even able to generate eagle.flash.bin + size of eagle.irom0text.bin. So I cant say about the total size. I must be doing something wrong.
I downloaded the mesh_sample code (containing app_switch,app_light and app_controller) in the app folder of the iot esh sdk.
I then ran Make from the app folder. I am using Virtual box as the development env.
Am I doing anything wrong. If so, please correct me.

Hi i have already enlarge the flash as 8M
but it also showing error！！！
